I Am Fish is a charming, physics-based adventure about four brave fish friends who are forced to leave their homes in a pet shop fish tank. You’ll join them as they swim, fly, roll, and chew their way to the open ocean from the remotest corners of Barnardshire (England’s smallest county) in their bid for freedom and reunification.

Meet our unsung heroes! Goldfish – cheerful, courageous, and daring, a natural swimmer! Pufferfish – a little sluggish but kind, capable of puffing up into a ball and rolling across the land. Piranha – obviously wild, chaotic, loud, unpredictable, and fond of biting. Flying Fish – aloof at times, but a true softie at heart, capable of gliding through the air! These brave heroes will leave no stone unturned in their quest to reunite!
NO REQUIREMENT TO BE A SURGEON OF THE BRAIN
Swim, roll, glide, chomp, flip flop, inflate, fly, and bite your way through a variety of captivating challenges. A straightforward, intuitive control scheme eliminates all excuses if your Fish perish, leaving you feeling quite gill-ty.
CONSIDER YOURSELF OUTSIDE THE BOWL
With its idyllic coastline and quaint villages, Barnardshire may appear to be the quintessential slice of tranquillity. Still, to our aquatic adventurers, it is alive with the very real dangers posed by crossing roads, traversing rooftops, dodging deep fat fryers, avoiding wildlife, including cantankerous locals, not to mention fragile fishbowls and the very real problem that Fish cannot breathe.
DO NOT LEAVE ANY FISH BEHIND
We won’t dwell on grizzly fish deaths, but if your Fish falls too far in its makeshift fishbowl, runs out of air, or otherwise flounders, you will be redirected to the most recent checkpoint to fine-tune your approach.
SWIM YOUR WAY TO FREEDOM
Our four fin-tastic companions will hitch rides in a variety of impromptu water carriers, including jars, wheeled mop buckets, and the occasional pint glass. Cheers! Navigating each makeshift aquatic vehicle presents its own set of challenges, but fear not; the relative freedom of open water is never far away, with inviting fountains, swimming pools, and, er, sewers filled with hazardous materials to splash around in before reaching the final destination – the shimmering, open ocean.
USE CAUTION TO AVOID FOUNDATION
While I Am Fish may appear to be a piece of hake to play, the controls have been purposefully designed to be challenging, and with the addition of Bossa Style controls, it will not be as simple as shooting Fish in a barrel. Even if you are a deft player, you may find yourself in dangerous waters – we dare you to take the plunge!
